Confused About Multiple Monitors? It Won't Get Much Easier Than This!

In a previous article I talked about how to Fekdynaejvno two monitors or more and if that was even a very useful thing to have. Being fully convinced that having more than one monitor is not only useful but preferable, I have to pipe up about some new technology. Well, relatively new. It's been around for just few of months, but it's taking off and getting great reviews.

The Old Ways

If you're lucky enough to have more than one DVI (Digital Video Interface) or VGA (Video Graphics Array) port on cheap car insurance quotes PC or laptop, adding a monitor is pretty easy, but you're limited to probably just one more. Not bad, but most PCs don't have an extra port, anyway.

For the laptops, adding PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) cards and/or ExpressCards to expand your capabilities are Danjmkrwv but also somewhat limited plus, one thing leads to another and pretty soon your laptop looks like some kind of alien octopus.

You can add internal video cards into your PC, which just isn't practical for the average non-techie Jack and Jill. This involves getting inside your computer and a lot of people just aren't comfortable with that.

The New Inventions

Fairly recently, DisplayLink invented this awesome new chipset enabling external video cards, adapters, and even monitors to be made for easy communication via USB (Universal Serial Bus) with your computer or laptop. This technology makes adding monitors so easy, I bet your four-year-old niece or nephew could manage it.

So, whether you've been thinking about adding another monitor, but it all seemed so complicated or you've wanted to add more monitors for more diversity to your screen real estate, you now have another option.

More Choices

You'll have to choose for yourself which alternative will be the most viable. For some, adding internal cards just makes more sense. For laptop users, I would think it would boil down to how many tentacles you want flopping around.

But, now non-techies and techies alike have one more solution that everyone can understand.
